Taste of Papagayo: Food & Music Festival – What you need to know

Are you ready for Playas del Coco’s most exciting Food and Music Festival! Then get ready for Taste of Papagayo, brought to you by Hotel La Puerta del Sol, The Garden Bar, Tank Tops and Flip Flops and the Coco Community Project!

What is Taste of Papagayo?

Taste of Papagayo is a chance to try new restaurants, listen to talented Costa Rican and international musicians, socialize over a few drinks and enjoy life!

We’ve booked bands to play all day while you enjoy the tastes of 18 area restaurants showcasing their favorite dishes for you to try!

Admission is $30 and gives you access to the full music set, all 18 restaurant’s food tents and one drink ticket!

What is the Coco Community Project?

“Coco Community Project Group (CCPG) is made up of 14 volunteers from the Local and Expat residents that began meeting weekly in order to address the garbage issue in town. Executives have been elected and a terms of reference is now in place. CCPG works to bring central and local government funds for projects to Playa del Coco and Ocotal. Trash and recycling management are a priority. Public space and beautification follow immediately afterward.”

“CCPG’s goals are to improve, sustain and clean up the community of Playas del Coco. CCPG will be responsible for working to improve and beautify the community, and for submitting projects for funding by the Municipality of Carrillo. CCPG plans to achieve these goals through education, training, and constant presence at local government.”

You will receive this map upon entering the event.

Tank Tops & Flip Flops is a local group that makes stylish t-shirts for local events and donates the proceeds to charity.

Let me tell ya, our event t-shirt is looking REAL nice 🙂

How do I get tickets for Taste of Papagayo?

You can purchase your tickets in advance (recommended) at Hotel La Puerta del Sol or at the door for $30 dollars.
